Diamond Jubilee Funding – 2012 Community Celebrations
In 2012, Canada will celebrate the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the throne. To mark this Diamond Jubilee, the Harper Government will implement special initiatives to honour The Queen’s reign, her service and her dedication to this country, and to celebrate Canadian achievements of the last 60 years.

Diane Finley Announces Funding for Theatre Production Honouring Veterans in Cayuga, Ontario
Cayuga, ON – On behalf of the Honourable Steven Blaney, Minister of Veterans Affairs, the Honourable Diane Finley, Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development, today announced that the Ruthven Park National Historic Site will receive up to $5,000 for the creation of a theatre production that will highlight the impact of the First World War on the local community.
