SIMCOE, ONTARIO, MARCH 17, 2011 – The Government of Canada is investing more than $143,000 to help research different ways to grow rubber resources in the Sand Plains region. The Honourable Diane Finley, Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development Canada made the announcement on behalf of Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz today.

GOVERNMENT OF CANADA GIVING A BOOST TO GINSENG COMPETITIVENESS IN GLOBAL MARKETS
Simcoe, Ontario, March 4, 2011 – Canadian ginseng will get a promotion boost in lucrative Asian markets, including Hong Kong, with an investment of more than $63,000, announced Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development, Diane Finley, on behalf of Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz.

Harper Government to Improve Medical Services in Rural Canada
SIMCOE, ONTARIO – Diane Finley, MP for Haldimand-Norfolk, applauds her Conservative government’s announcement that was made on February 23, 2011 to help bring more medical support to rural and remote areas of Canada.
“It’s important for the Harper Government to support rural communities like the ones right here in Haldimand-Norfolk,” said Diane Finley. “We’re working hard to bring in additional medical residencies with a particular focus on doctors for rural areas and family medicines.”
The Government of Canada wants to ensure that rural Canadians have better access to health care providers. The federal government is funding $39.5 million for these projects to to support more than 100 family medicine residents to receive training and provide medical services in remote and rural communities across Canada.
